Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office – Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness

Salary: £58,100 - £87,100 + annual bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing

What is the Role?

As Regulatory Reporting and Performance Manager at SSEN Transmission, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring we can confidently evidence the performance, cost and delivery of our multi-billion-pound RIIO investment portfolio.

You’ll lead the development of portfolio-level regulatory reporting, assurance frameworks and performance insight, enabling strong and credible engagement with Ofgem and supporting senior decision-making across the business. Operating at the heart of the organisation, you’ll work closely with Delivery, Finance, Asset Management and System Planning to translate complex technical and financial information into clear, defensible regulatory evidence.

You will

  • Lead SSEN Transmission’s portfolio-level regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance with Ofgem requirements
  • Own the end‑to‑end annual reporting cycle across RIIO‑T3, including narrative development, data assurance and governance
  • Provide portfolio-wide performance insight, highlighting likely outturn, emerging risks and opportunities for optimisation
  • Support high‑quality regulatory submissions and uncertainty mechanisms, ensuring evidence is robust, traceable and defensible
  • Lead, develop and collaborate across teams to strengthen data quality, regulatory capability and investment planning across the portfolio

You have

  • Relevant experience in regulation, finance, economics or investment analysis, ideally within the energy or infrastructure sector
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience working with complex data sets to generate clear, evidence-based insights
  • Experience supporting regulatory reporting, submissions or performance analysis, ideally within frameworks such as RIIO
  • The ability to communicate complex technical and financial information in a clear, structured and compelling way
  • Proven ability to lead and influence, including stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary teams and developing high-performing teams in a complex regulatory environment
