With our business growing rapidly and an ambitious portfolio of projects ahead, we have incredible opportunities for Primavera P6 Planning Engineers to join our dynamic team. You Will

  • Take ownership of planning projects within Transmission, producing and maintaining detailed  programmes across the full project lifecycle
  • Collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, site management, and commercial teams to report progress effectively.
  • Conduct delay analysis and evaluate the time impact of change events, ensuring full compliance with NEC3 contractual requirements.
  • Deliver insightful reporting and feedback to project and business senior management teams.
  • Analyse large-scale contractor programmes to ensure integrity and compliance with NEC3 standards.

You Have

  • Proven experience as a Planning Engineer using Primavera P6 on large scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • A strong understanding of NEC3 contract planning requirements, including assessing delay impacts, change events and contractor claims.
  • Expertise in reviewing complex programmes and ensuring quality.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 Office Suite.

This role involves travel between SSE offices and project sites, with occasional overnight stays—so a valid driving licence is essential.
