The role

We’re looking for a Personal Assistant to provide high level support to our Director of Legal and our HR Director within SSEN Transmission. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations, managing complex schedules and logistics to enable strategic priorities. You will

  • Manage and prioritise the director’s diary, ensuring time is allocated effectively to the most strategic meetings and commitments.
  • Prepare and review documents, briefing papers, reports, and presentations, monitor emails, follow up on actions and deadlines, and raise Purchase Orders in iBuy to ensure timely payments.
  • Coordinate and approve travel arrangements, hospitality requests, visas, accommodation, and occasionally travel to other sites.
  • Organise events, conferences, and large departmental meetings, balancing multiple priorities and delivering in a fast-paced environment.

You have

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant in a busy, senior-level environment.
  • The ability to research, analyse, and present information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Office 365 applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • A high level of discretion, reliability, and understanding of confidential matters.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently under pressure, meeting tight deadlines.
