Base Location: Medway Power Station - Isle of Grain
Salary: £43,704 - £51,484 +shift allowance £12.8K and 20% skills shortage (OTE £64-73K) + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent- Shift Work
We are looking to recruit an Operations technician for our 735 MW CCGT power plant
You will
Operate, monitor, and control gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSGs, pumps and water treatment plants via the DCIS control system.
Identify and diagnose operational issues reporting defects via our electronic reporting system.
Conduct routine operational checks, plant testing, and inspections to maintain performance and reliability.
Take part in continuous improvement and development projects to enhance plant efficiency and your own technical knowledge.
Ensure all operations are carried out in line with health, safety, and environmental best practices.
You have
Operational experience in power generation or a transferable background in heavy industry.
A relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
A strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
A team-focused, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skill
