Base Location: Port of Tyne, UK (You will be required to be on-site at the Dogger Bank Operations & Maintenance Base located at Port of Tyne at least 3 days a week.)

Salary: £50,100-£62,100 depending on skills and experience + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Engineer to play a key role in the safe, efficient operation of one of the world’s largest offshore wind farms. You’ll support the long-term performance of the Dogger Bank assets, alongside our joint venture partner, Equinor, by delivering maintenance activities that protect reliability and maximise clean energy generation.

You will

Deliver planned and reactive maintenance campaigns to monitor asset integrity, maintain compliance and minimise lost generation. As part of this, you will be responsible for the management of contractors , reporting on performance managing integrity risks within the following key discipline areas:

  • Seabed and subsea surveys, focussing on foundation and inter-array cable integrity,
  • Asset integrity management of foundations, including corrosion protection systems
  • Management of strategic spares including inter-array cable storage
  • Contract management of the inspection of WTG and OSP lifting and safety equipment

You will provide support and collaborate with other asset O&M engineers to support the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all wind farm assets, whilst ensuring high quality maintenance and safety information is captured and processed in line with management system processes. The role will require to be part of an on-call rotation for the windfarms. There will also be a requirement for offshore visits, for which GWO training will be required.

You have

  • Experience working in offshore wind or a comparable technical environment, ideally with an engineering qualification (equivalent experience considered).
  • Proficient oral and written communications skills; with ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders and support functions.
  • Hands-on and proactive, prepared to work offshore as and when required.
  • Have the ability to pick up and deliver a wide variety of tasks, across disciplines and assets.
  • Creative approach to problem solving.
