We're looking for a finance leader who combines technical excellence with commercial curiosity, can motivate and develop a high-performing team, and is passionate about turning data into insight that creates real business value.
You will
-Lead, develop and motivate a team of three FP&A professionals, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture that delivers meaningful insight and supports business success.
-Lead financial planning, forecasting and performance reporting across SSE Airtricity and SSE Business Energy, helping to shape strategy, drive performance and support sustainable growth.
-Develop and continuously enhance robust financial models, forecasting tools and scenario analysis, leveraging advanced Excel, Power BI and analytical techniques to provide clear, data-driven insights and recommendations.
-Partner with senior leaders to deliver high-quality financial insight, constructive challenge and forward-looking analysis, ensuring key risks, opportunities and market drivers are reflected in business decision-making.
-Continually identify opportunities to unlock deeper insights from data, improving understanding of customer, commercial, operational and regulatory performance drivers.
-Champion innovation and continuous improvement, introducing new ideas, tools and approaches that enhance planning, reporting and decision-support capabilities while helping shape a more efficient, scalable and insight-led FP&A function.
You have
-Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant experience in FP&A, commercial finance or performance management.
-Strong track record of leading budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes within a complex, fast-paced organisation.
-Demonstrable experience leading and motivating teams through periods of change, bringing people together around a common vision, building engagement and delivering results through collaboration and shared accountability.
-Skilled at turning financial, commercial and operational data into clear insights, compelling narratives and actionable recommendations.
-Advanced analytical and financial modelling capabilities, with experience assessing scenarios, risks, opportunities and key business drivers.
-Confident collaborator with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships across Finance and the wider business.
-Experience driving continuous improvement, balancing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes to challenging deadlines
