The role

SSE Thermal have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Officer to take a leading role in managing the safety, health, and environmental compliance across our peaking plant generating stations in Rode and Tawnaghmore, with Platin also coming into scope in due course. This position will be pivotal in ensuring the safe operation of both active and under-construction facilities, while supporting regulatory obligations and internal standards.

Some of your main accountabilities will include;

  • Leading compliance with all health and safety legislative requirements across multiple power generation sites.

  • A methodical and analytical mindset with strong organisational, planning, and IT skills.
