About the Role
Base Location: Dublin, Ireland (Flexible)
Salary: €65k - €70k + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: 18 month Fixed Term Contract | Full Time | Flexible First options available
An exciting opportunity has been created for a Financial Accountant to join the finance team under the SSE Customer Energy Solutions Business. You will be responsible for comprehensive financial analysis, general accounting, period closing activities, forecasting and planning activities for the overall business Revenue. In addition, you will be responsible for FSLI’s within the statutory audit of the Airtricity companies. The successful candidate will work closely with the ROI and NI Finance Managers to maintain high levels of financial control, accurate and timely execution of general accounting activities and improving business processes. This contract role will be on a full-time basis, but offering flexibility on working location.
Key Accountabilities
Effectively communicating financial performance to operational colleagues to embed financial understanding within the business
Analyse performance results to include variances against Budget and Forecast
Able to manage multiple complex projects/processes simultaneously
Interpreting and assimilating multiple data sources, including external market data, and rendering into meaningful insight and appropriate recommendations and clear actions
Operationally and commercially focused
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
Excellent knowledge of current regulations including new financial accounting standards
What do I need?
Fully qualified accountant with 3+ years Post Qualified Experience
Knowledge of Irish energy market and an understanding of underlying market segments
Proficient in MS Office applications (particularly excel)
Adaptive to changing objectives and priorities to deliver results
Able to manage multiple complex projects/processes simultaneously
