Salary: £50,100 - £62,500 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

The Finance Manager – Central and Consol FP&A will join the Renewables Finance team, reporting to the Head of P&L – FP&A, and will be responsible for consolidated cost reporting and the accurate forecasting and budgeting of capitalised and recharged SSER salaries. The role also involves coordinating financial processes across a diverse cost base, supporting technology teams, and providing finance business partnering to Central and Corporate cost centres.

You will

  • Own and develop the capitalisation and recharge model, ensuring accurate reflection of capital/joint venture project impacts on the SSE Renewables P&L, including reporting, budgeting and forecasting of capitalised/recharged salaries.
  • Lead month‑end, forecasting and budgeting for Central and Corporate cost centres, managing the budget process and providing finance business partnering to Renewables Executive Committee members and support functions.
  • Deliver consolidated operating cost analysis across SSE Renewables, partnering with Financial Control and Business Units on month‑end reporting, forecasting and variance narrative for a diverse cost base.
  • Support strategic planning and performance initiatives, including cost efficiency tracking, 10‑year planning, and ad‑hoc financial analysis (e.g. hedging, pricing, GP forecasts and consolidation).

You have

  • Post qualified experience as a fully qualified accountant
  • The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical capability, with well‑developed process improvement and financial modelling skills.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, with confidence to challenge constructively and make well‑reasoned decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively across a range of audiences
