The role

SSEN Transmission has a fantastic opportunity for an analyst to join our Economics Team and play a key role in economic appraisal and carbon data management to support the delivery of key strategic net zero infrastructure in the north of Scotland.
You will
Support the delivery of high-quality socio-economic analysis to inform project feasibility and investment decisions.
Analyse data and produce high-quality reports and presentations that effectively communicate complex economic concepts and findings to diverse stakeholders, both internal and external.
Assess the economic impact of our projects and programmes at Local Authority all the way to UK level using both micro and macroeconomic methods.
Support the development and maintenance of data models, producing reports and dashboards to inform senior stakeholders.
Engage with external partners in order to better understand our place based economic impact.
You have
Qualified to degree level in an economics/finance related discipline, or relevant experience.
Understanding of socio-economic appraisal methodologies for both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
In depth knowledge of the regional economies in which SSEN transmission operate as well as an awareness of local and national economic strategy and policy.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex economic concepts in a clear and concise manner and a collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to handle and analyse large quantities of data and experience in establishing, communicating and presenting well-reasoned conclusions, proposals and recommendations based upon multiple data sources.
