Base Location: Reading, Cardiff or Perth – this is a hybrid role working a minimum two days a week from the office at the advertised location.
Salary: £28,072 - £32,605 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: 12 month Fixed Term Contract or Secondment | Full Time | Flexible First options available
The role
As a Risk Advisor, you will play a crucial role in helping the organisation identify, assess, and manage potential risks that could impact operations, finances, or reputation. You'll work closely with various teams to ensure that risk management strategies are well understood and properly implemented. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of safeguarding interests and contributing to its long-term success.
You will
- Identify and assess risks across the business, using data and expertise to spot potential issues early.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies, ensuring teams understand and minimise risks.
- Monitor risks, track key indicators, and produce reports to leadership on emerging challenges.
- Advise and support departments in managing risk, integrating it into daily operations.
- Continuously improve risk management processes to stay relevant, efficient, and aligned with industry standards.
You have
- Experience of working within a similar role with the ability to analyse complex data and situations to identify potential risks.
- A strong problem-solving mindset with experience of developing strategies to reduce business risk.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for explaining risk concepts clearly to colleagues at all levels.
- A good understanding of risk management principles and frameworks is vital.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations and best practices within the utilities industry or similarly regulated industry.
