Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in Perth or Glasgow

Salary: circa £70,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

We’re looking for an HR Manager to SSE plc, supporting the HR Business Partner, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside senior leaders to help align people priorities with business goals, contributing to growth, transformation, and safe, sustainable performance across the UK.

 

You will

- Support the delivery of in-year people plans, in partnership with corporate HR partners including Learning & Talent, Recruitment and Reward. Help shape the long-term, strategic people plans aligned to growth ambitions.

- Contribute to Organisation Design and Strategic Workforce Planning activities with your client groups to ensure that we are optimising performance.

- Play a key role in Talent and Succession planning activities within your Directorates ensuring robust talent pipelines in place for all critical and leadership roles.

- Provide business leaders with guidance, support, and advice on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including resourcing, reward, engagement, organisational design, change management, and learning and development.

- Partner with senior leadership teams to create the conditions for business to deliver their best performance and build a culture, focusing on inclusion and collaboration.

 

You have

- A strong HR generalist background with a commercial mindset, and a thoughtful, proactive approach to challenges and change.

- Experience contributing to longer-term planning aligned to business goals.

- Sound judgement, a strong sense of integrity, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

- Clear communication skills and a natural ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.

- Good organisation and prioritisation skills, with the flexibility to support a range of stakeholders and deliverables.
