Consents & Environment Manager

Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office – Aberdeen, Glasgow, Inverness, Perth

Salary: £44,000 - £65,900 + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

The role

You will

- Lead and coordinate the consenting strategy for nationally significant electricity infrastructure projects, supporting their progress from early development through to consent determination and, where required, construction delivery.

- Manage project optioneering, environmental assessments and risk identification, ensuring environmental and consenting considerations are integrated into project design and decision-making.

- Oversee external consultants and technical specialists to deliver proportionate, high-quality Environmental Impact Assessments and supporting consent application documentation.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with consenting authorities, statutory consultees, government bodies and other key stakeholders, including negotiating consent conditions and securing positive project outcomes.

- Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary project teams, providing clear communication and effective project management to deliver key milestones and programme objectives.
