Salary: £42,600 – £64,000 + performance‑related bonus and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family

The role

As a Cloud FinOps Engineer, you’ll play a key role in helping the organisation get the most value from its cloud investment. You’ll drive cloud financial management across the organisation in collaboration with multiple teams, combining technical insight, financial understanding and strong stakeholder engagement to improve cost transparency, accountability and optimisation in a fast‑moving, multi‑cloud environment.

You will

  • Drive the adoption of FinOps practices across the organisation to enhance visibility, accountability, and maximise value from cloud expenditure.
  • Define and evolve cloud cost strategy, governance and performance measures, aligned to wider digital transformation goals
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, product and finance teams to forecast, budget and optimise cloud usage
  • Identify and deliver cost optimisation opportunities, such as rightsizing, commitment planning and efficient workload design
  • Enhance the capability across the business, through coaching, training and supporting a FinOps Analyst

You have

  • Strong experience across cloud technology and financial management, with the ability to connect technical decisions to cost outcomes
  • Experience working in complex multi‑cloud or hybrid environments, such as Azure and/or AWS
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, including working with senior stakeholders and non‑technical audiences
  • A proven track record of leading cross‑functional cost optimisation initiatives and delivering measurable results
  • Hands‑on experience with FinOps tooling and cloud billing models, with a practical, data‑driven mindset
