Base Location: Dundee or Perth

Salary: £29,504 - £34,757 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Onsite

The role

We’re seeking a Cable Layer / Utility Groundworker to join our cable-laying teams based in Dundee, Tayside.  This is a hands-on, practical role where you’ll be an essential part of groundworks, reinstatement, and runner duties, supporting SSE excavation and cable-laying projects.

You will

  • Be working on a variety of projects to the highest level of care.
  • Set up and removal of equipment on site to comply with Street Works Legislation.
  • Be working on excavation projects.
  • Undertake cable laying and reinstatement responsibilities as well as other ad hoc requests.

You have

  • A 360 Excavator ticket & NRSWA Street Works ticket as a minimum requirement.
  • A hands-on approach and a readiness to adapt to all tasks provided.
  • Worked in a similar role previously.
  • Flexibility. Due to the nature of this role, you'll may be asked to take part in standby duties, responding to faults overnight and at weekends as part of a rota.

A full driving licence is required for this role.
