BMS Estimator

Base Location: Gateshead

Salary: c. £35,000 subject to qualifications and experience + company car/cash allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

We’re looking for an ambitious, motivated individual to join our team in Gateshead as an Estimator / Junior BMS Sales Engineer.

This is a unique opportunity to build a rewarding career in Building Management Systems (BMS) — combining technical understanding with commercial acumen. You’ll take part in a structured national training programme, gaining hands-on experience in estimating, sales, and BMS technologies under the mentorship of our experienced team.

Through this comprehensive development journey, you’ll quickly progress towards managing your own clients — helping them reduce carbon emissions and achieve their net-zero goals.

You will

• Support the sales team by preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for BMS projects.
• Work closely with engineers, contractors, and clients to understand project requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Learn how to develop proposals that balance technical performance, energy efficiency, and commercial value.
• Participate in ongoing sales and technical training to build your expertise across the full BMS lifecycle.
• Build strong customer relationships and contribute to achieving team sales targets.

You have

• A genuine interest in Building Management Systems, Building Services or related technologies — and a passion for decarbonisation and sustainability.
• A technical mindset or the enthusiasm to develop one, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and engaging way.
• The confidence to interact with customers and colleagues, combined with a proactive, “can-do” attitude.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
• A drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to learn from experienced mentors.
