The role
SSE Business Energy is on a transformation journey to put customers at the heart of everything we do as a customer-focused energy supplier. As an influential member of the Customer Service team, you will be a key enabler of this transformation. A vital part of this transformation is the adoption of new ways of working to ensure our customers are given a simple, payable and easy to understand bill. They will play a critical decision-making role in increasing flexibility and adaptability to customer needs and changing market requirements. As Business Energy has now successfully transitioned to their new system, demand has risen for a Billing Optimisation Manager to lead on driving performance enhancements across the billing function, with a focus on optimising billing performance. As an influential member of the Customer Service team, you will be a key enabler of Business Energy for this transformation.
You will
Be highly competent at analysing data and processes, identifying performance gaps, and creating solutions to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of different areas of the business, including operations, sales, customer service, and finance, to find efficiencies in end-to-end processes that will ultimately lead to improved billing and cash performance
Forming and leading cross functional teams to drive performance initiatives and leading on strategically aligned projects
Ability to manage 3rd party technical teams and translate between complex technical concepts and business requirements and decisions
Ensuring business readiness for change and coordinating a wide group of senior stakeholders through change initiatives
You have
Degree level qualification or project management Qualification or relevant transformation experience, is an advantage, but not essential. Deep technical knowledge but need the theoretical understanding underpinning
A strong understanding of continuous Improvement project management, where the following were key: analysing, tracking, creating, planning and delivering projects, and working with a multiple range of diverse, high volume, strategic change initiatives & PowerBi Experience
Proven track record of delivering large business change projects with robust benefit realisation & tracking
Managing stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, with a strong ability to influence and accept challenge
Strong understanding of business change and delivery methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma)
