We are recruiting for a Bid Team Leader who can guide the small team of 3 permanent team members through its next stage of evolution. The team is well established and has a strong set of tools and processes to support its activity. However, the team’s remit is expanding. An increased number of larger, more complex bids, is expected and consequently the team is engaging more in capture management activities. The team supports all of Distributed Energy’s sectors (Behind the Meter Solar, Heat, EV Charging, Networks) and therefore the person in this role needs to be able to work in fast paced, highly matrixed environment. This role will report to, and be supported by, the Head of Work Winning, but the role holder will be expected to manage all day to day requests for bid management support.
The key responsibilities of this role are:
- Leadership of the DE Bid Team, including line management of other team members.
- Drive the improvement programme for the DE Bid Management function.
- Personally lead bids in the capacity of a Senior Bid Manager.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Extensive bid management experience, including large and complex tenders, ideally in the utilities space.
- Line management of a small team.
- Proven ability to shape and deliver improvement programmes, personally and through others.
- The interpersonal skills to interact and influence people at all levels within the business, including Directors.
