Base Location: Perth or Dundee
 
Salary: £26,609 - £30,472 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
 
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time, 37 hours per week | Flexible working options available
 
We are looking for Asset Inspector to join our team!
 
As an Asset Inspector, you will be joining our team who conduct statutory surveying & inspection of the overhead and underground network up to and including 33,000 volts to ensure Environmental Safety Quality and Continuity Regulations (ESQC Regulations) compliance.
 
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
 
- You will be working on your own and with others to walk and inspect the overhead line network within our Distribution area.

- Planning your work to ensure the quantity of inspections are kept to the planned target and recording the data on a hand–held device with accuracy.

- You will make sure you deliver a great customer service experience.

- You will be committed to working safely; completing risk assessments to take care of yourself and others to ensure a high performance of safety, health and wellbeing.

- Look to improve productivity by finding and implementing innovative and effective business improvements. 

The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service with pro-active communication and embedding a culture that puts the customer at the heart of everything we do, you will drive value through innovation, implementing a continuous improvement philosophy. 

What do I need?
 
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
 
- A willingness to travel and enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions, and capable of reading a map and drawings related to our network. This role can be physically demanding, so a basic level of fitness is needed.
 
- Although based in your local area, you may reasonably be required to work anytime and anywhere within the country to service business demands so a driving license is essential.
 
- To have the ability to work independently as the nature of the role involves lone working often in remote locations.
 
- It would be beneficial but not essential to have some knowledge of electricity and our electricity networks along with an understanding of the Electricity Supply Quality Control Regulations.
 
- Competent in your IT skills as data is recorded using electronic devices.
 
Safety is one of our key priorities, so you should have the ability to risk assess activities throughout your working day and to work within our Health and Safety guidelines. Due to the nature of this role, you must have the ability to work flexibly to meet business requirements.
