Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in our Glasgow, Waterloo Street office 

Salary: £35,200- £52,800 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

As an IT Strategic Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for sourcing IT software, cloud services, hardware, and related solutions in accordance with all internal policies and procedures, as well as external legislation, including UK procurement legislation where applicable.

You will

- Support Procurement and Commercial Managers and Contract/Category Managers with day-to-day tactical procurement which will include sourcing and contracting activities.

- Ensure the lowest total cost of ownership for the group, with robust contractual provisions to mitigate delivery and commercial risk.

- Support supplier relationship management and performance management activities.

- Collaborate with the wider Procurement & Commercial team to enhance efficiency and embed continuous improvement across sourcing and procurement processes.

- Ensure process accuracy and maintain high‑quality data standards within procurement systems.

 

You have

- Broad knowledge of IT markets, including Software, Services, Cloud and Hardware and an understanding of IT contracts, with the ability to draft special terms, including dispute resolution procedures.

- An understanding of UK Procurement Regulations and its practical application.

- Experience managing tenders and sourcing activities smoothly and efficiently with extensive experience with procurement systems such as Oracle, Jaggaer and Achilles Utility Vendor Database.

- Excellent communication, analytical and numeracy skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder and supplier relationships.

- Professional accreditation, CIPS (is preferred) or aiming towards it.
