Salary: £66,100 - £99,100 + car /car allowance, performance-related bonus and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

The SIAM Service Operations Manager is a senior retained role within the Service Operations and Delivery function, accountable for governing and assuring consistent, high‑quality end‑to‑end IT service operations within a Service Integration and Management (SIAM) ecosystem. Working in close partnership with service owners, the Service Integrator, outsourced providers, and internal and external delivery teams, the role supports in shaping operational ways of working, service standards, and performance expectations.

The position offers ongoing governance and oversight within the ecosystem, supporting operational capabilities while safeguarding service stability, customer experience, and business continuity.

You will

  • Maintain governance and oversight to ensure end-to-end IT operations are seamlessly integrated and effectively managed across the ecosystem.
  • Deliver operational assurance to senior stakeholders addressing operational status, critical risks to service, supplier obligations, and actionable recommendations for resolution.
  • Maintain operational risk oversight during Major Incidents and serve as an escalation point during high-impact events (deputy Bronze Commander), guaranteeing that mitigation actions and decisions are properly governed and escalation procedures are executed as required (Bronze/Silver/Gold command).
  • Facilitate strong partnerships among Service Providers, the Service Integrator, and retained IT teams to encourage open collaboration and attain common objectives. Foster transparency and constructive feedback, ensuring decisions are evidence-based and potential operational risks are identified and communicated promptly.
  • In partnership with the Service Integrator and as part of the retained team, ensure consistent application of SIAM practices and processes and maintain responsibility for the ITSM process governance framework.

You have

  • Demonstrable experience working in service management within multi-supplier / outsourced environments, particularly in a Service Integration and Management model.
  • Ability to work in environments that are undergoing significant change, working in an iterative and adaptive manner.
  • Strong understanding and experience of Service Integration and Management (SIAM) and how operational performance, risk and resilience support business continuity and operational outcomes.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills to chair governance forums, provide constructive challenge, and influence senior stakeholders
  • Ability to set operational standards, interpret service performance, and assure that outcomes align to service strategy, demand, capacity, and risk appetite.
