Base Location: Reading, Cardiff or Perth

Salary: £58,100 - £87,100 + Bonus and a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern:  12 Month FTC | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The role

The Senior Project Manager is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the EFR Recovery Programme, ensuring all workstreams achieve their objectives within agreed timelines and budgets.

This includes technical resolution, process optimisation, targeted interventions for key accounts, regulatory engagement, and reporting. The role demands proactive risk management, stakeholder assurance, and transparent governance.

The Senior Project Manager will need to be focused on targets and requirements, with an ability to be adaptable to meet changing business environments.  Reports on progress to the Projects & Regulatory Change Manager and Programme Sponsors.

You will

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Business Leadership, Metering, Regulation, IT, Data Services, and third-party providers.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies on third-party data providers and system integrators, and ensure contingency plans are in place.
  • Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and achievements to the Steering Committee and external regulators.
  • Deliver programme milestones, reduce backlog of unresolved reads, embed process improvements, and achieve positive assurance feedback from Elexon and Ofgem.
  • Establish and maintain highly effective relationships within projects and other project and business teams to ensure that interfaces work correctly.

You have

  • Demonstrable experience in leading complex, multi-workstream programmes with regulatory and technical dimensions.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and high-profile stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in risk management, contract management, and benefits realisation.
  • Ability to adapt project processes and methodologies to optimise delivery in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to provide leadership and focus for the project teams.
