The role
As a Senior Data Engineer at ECS, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our data strategy. You will lead the design, development, and optimisation of scalable data solutions that align with our business objectives—particularly in enhancing customer experience through advanced analytics and cloud technologies.

You have
Holds a relevant undergraduate degree in Computer Science, with professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer considered a strong asset.
Extensive hands-on experience in designing, building, and operating analytics solutions using Azure cloud technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Azure Storage Accounts (Data Lake / Delta Lake), as well as Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Data Warehouse (Dedicated SQL Pool). A working knowledge of Synapse and ETL technologies is also essential.
Proficient in advanced programming and query languages such as Python/PySpark, Pandas, NumPy, and T-SQL. Strong capabilities in report building, with essential skills in Power BI.
Demonstrates the ability to lead data engineering teams in designing data models, developing robust ETL pipelines, engineering scalable solutions, conducting quality assurance and code reviews, and producing standards documentation.
Strong understanding of Agile principles and practical experience with the Scrum methodology. Skilled in Azure DevOps, with leadership in best practices for source control, CI/CD, and change management. Experienced in data management, migration, and data quality initiatives.
