The role

We are seeking a Data Engineer to support the build‑out of curated, reliable, high‑value datasets within our Databricks Lakehouse environment.
This role focuses on transforming, structuring, and modelling data across the Medallion layers (bronze → silver → gold) to enable analytics, reporting, and operational use cases.
It is not a reporting or visualisation role — it is a hands‑on modelling and pipeline design position aligned to the architectural principles used across CDP.

You will

  • Build and maintain data pipelines across bronze, silver, and gold layers, ensuring progressive enhancement of data quality according to Medallion architecture principles.
  • Design and implement robust logical and physical data models (e.g. dimensional modelling).
  • Design transformation logic from raw to structured, business-ready gold datasets to support analytics and domain consumption.
  • Collaborate closely with vendors, TPO, management, product, data architecture, engineering, and analytics teams to ensure end‑to‑end alignment of data models with business needs.
  • Apply and maintain data quality, lineage, and governance across Medallion layers, adhering to organisational standards. Contribute to best‑practice documentation, modelling standards, and architectural patterns for Databricks pipelines.

You have

  • Expertise in SQL (optimised joins, complex transformations), data modelling, analytics.
  • Hands‑on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and ELT/ETL orchestration.
  • Strong understanding of dimensional modelling, fact/dimension structures,
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP). and metadata practices.
  • Ability to collaborate across technical and business teams and influence modelling decisions.
