Base Location: Havant, Reading, Glasgow

Salary: £58,100 - £87,100 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

This role forms part of the Service Strategy & Performance team who define, design and develop a tooling-aligned Service Management framework; with a focus on enhancing the end-to-end service value chain (‘the digital experience’) in line with ITIL and SIAM industry best-practice. 

The Product Owner focuses on ensuring the framework delivers both business and customer value. The role will establish and develop a strategic roadmap aligned to wider business objectives, determine priority scope areas for improvement and implementation, and provide readiness support to wider business teams.

You will

  • Service Strategy Roadmap: Develop and evolve a tooling-aligned roadmap based on customer, product team(s) and business feedback, linked to business outcomes. Determine developments to the roadmap based on business strategy changes.
  • Backlog Management: Turn the roadmap into an actionable backlog, prioritising activity and initiatives based on value delivered in line with customer needs. Oversee product priorities, initiatives and resource requirements; working with leadership to attain funding as required. Support the team in removing impediments to progress and assist with dependencies, risks and issues.
  • Voice of the Customer: Champion the voice of the customer, gaining insight from performance information across the end-to-end framework; supporting the wider team to identify improvements that address user needs and preferences.
  • Engagement & Business Readiness: Act as point of liaison for business stakeholders, establishing and maintaining engagement to support the development of the framework. Provide business readiness support in preparation for implementation and change management in product rollout and enhancements.
  • Service Strategy Governance: Provide subject matter expertise on product-related decisions. Provide oversight, support, and input into governance processes, including reporting on progress against outcomes.

You have

  • Experience in IT Service Management Operations or Service Delivery and/or related Transformation, with knowledge of Service Management frameworks, an understanding of Service Integration and Management principles, and a familiarity with IT Service Management tooling.
  • Experience in defining, prioritising and managing a portfolio of work; setting the direction for a set of initiatives.
  • Ability to work in environments that are undergoing change, working in an iterative and adaptive manner.
  • Ability to identify and manage stakeholders, articulating the ‘why’ at all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal and analytical skills; a team leader, team player and collaborator.
