Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Glasgow, Perth or Aberdeen  

Salary: £54,952 - £64,738 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

The main purpose of the Portfolio Coordinator role is to perform and coordinate the core Portfolio Office functions including portfolio-level reporting, document management, portfolio governance and assurance.

You will

  • Be responsible for the coordination of day-to-day activities within the IT Portfolio Office, including production of portfolio level reporting, project financial control and reporting, and project management standards and frameworks
  • Maintain an existing governance framework for the delivery portfolio, including creation of policies, procedures and templates, in order to deliver the necessary delivery capability to support delivery of the product roadmap and business objectives
  • Manage the submission of consolidated progress reports, aligned to objectives and key results, into governance boards, senior management and executives to agreed reporting timetable
  • Provide coaching and guidance to Delivery Leads and Delivery Managers with all aspects of project and programme delivery, including planning and forecasting, risk and issue management, dependency management, and reporting
  • Monitor the delivery portfolio end-to-end, ensuring that the delivery is on time, within budget, minimising potential risks and assessing to make sure it meets all strategic objectives

You have

  • Relevant, applicable experience of working in a PMO/ Portfolio team
  • Have experience in management or coordination of project and programme governance frameworks and standards
  • Experience in applying various waterfall (e.g. Prince2, APM, PMP) and Agile methodologies and supporting context, such as governance, process and culture across different levels of portfolio
  • Good working knowledge of key project processes, including status reporting, budgeting and estimating, planning, dependency management, risk and issue management, quality gates and change management
  • Demonstrate a strong technical knowledge encompassing processes, tools and techniques, in particular for Agile e.g. DevOps, Scrum, Kanban and lean development
