The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join SSE Renewables and play a key role in supporting the planning, governance and delivery of large-scale onshore wind and solar & battery renewable energy projects. As a Portfolio Analyst, you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to turn complex data into clear insight, helping major capital projects stay on track and supporting the growth of our onshore renewables portfolio across the UK, Ireland and Southern Europe.

You will

  • Support the planning and control of major renewable energy projects, including budgets, forecasts and investment tracking, helping projects make informed decisions.
  • Produce clear, accurate reports and dashboards that provide insight into project performance, risks and future workload for senior leaders.
  • Help coordinate workforce planning across multiple projects, identifying future resource needs and highlighting gaps or pressures early.
  • Support strong project governance by helping teams follow agreed processes, standards and assurance requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by developing and embedding consistent ways of working, tools and documentation across the project portfolio.

You have

  • Experience supporting projects or programmes in a project support, PMO or analyst role, ideally within a complex or fast-moving environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to work confidently with large datasets and turn information into clear, practical insight. Knowledge of Power BI is desirable.
  • Good communication skills, with the confidence to work with a wide range of people and present information clearly to different audiences.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
