Some of your other main accountabilities will include:

  • Support long-term asset integrity planning, operational budgeting, and service campaign coordination.
  • Represent SSE Renewables within the local community and wider sector, contributing to Just Transition goals and the UK Net Zero pathway.

You have

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Proven leadership in developing and maintaining a strong safety culture within an industrial, utility or offshore environment.
  • Experience in a high-intensity operational management or supervisory role, ideally within offshore wind, power generation or similar process‑based industries.
  • A recognised technical background (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or Control & Instrumentation) with an HNC or equivalent qualification – preferred but not essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of Safe Systems of Work, Permit to Work processes, and the ability to uphold Wind Turbine Safety Rules and HV Operational Safety Rules.
  • Experience working within high‑value operational contracts and managing contractor performance, along with previous exposure to Joint Venture governance, operational assurance, or regulated environments (desirable).
