As SSEN’ Transmission’s Head of Programme and Project Reporting you will play a vital role in shaping how a major capital investment portfolio is governed, understood and delivered.   You will lead the design and delivery of a reporting ecosystem that gives senior leaders clear insight, supports safe and effective decision making, and strengthens the performance of a multi-billion pound programme of major infrastructure projects.  A key part of your impact will come from how you use data, digital tools and performance indicators to tell the story of delivery.  You will define and embed the KPIs that matter, strengthen digital capability across reporting, drive automation, and ensure that systems and data support a single, trusted picture of performance.

You will

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of programme and project reporting, creating a consistent approach across all projects and programmes and aligning reporting with organisational governance.
  • Build and manage an integrated reporting ecosystem, bringing together planning, cost, risk and delivery data to provide a single, trusted view of performance, including clear and meaningful KPIs that support proactive decision making.
  • Oversee the strategic direction and optimisation of reporting systems and tools, ensuring digital platforms, data structures, automation and performance dashboards support effective governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of reporting, systems and data specialists, setting clear direction and fostering a collaborative, high performing culture.
  • Act as a senior Business Partner to directorate leads, ensuring reporting needs are understood, insight is meaningful, KPIs are interpreted correctly, and issues are escalated and resolved, while championing improved digital capability across delivery teams.

You have

  • Extensive experience leading reporting functions for major programmes, ideally within infrastructure or similarly complex delivery environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of reporting, planning, risk, cost and data systems, with the ability to integrate these into cohesive portfolio-level insights underpinned by robust KPIs.
  • A proven ability to design and embed reporting frameworks, dashboards, KPI suites and digital solutions that support executive level decision making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders, stakeholders and external bodies to build clarity, trust and understanding of performance.
  • Leadership experience that enables you to inspire, develop and guide a high performing team while driving continuous improvement, innovation and digital adoption.
