The role

We are looking for a Network Connections Quoter to join our team

Our SSEN Distribution Commercial and Connections teams are the first point of contact for customers wishing to have a new electricity connection, increase the size of their existing connection, install generation, or move the equipment supplying their property.

As a Network Connections Quoter, you'll be helping to ensure Guaranteed Standards are met when providing quotations for new connections for customers including

You will

  • Provide customers with designs and quotations for import and export connections to the network, covering both in-area and out-of-area design requests.
  • Design connections up to 69kVA for connection to the LV and 11kV network.
  • Model and analyse the LV network to identify and accommodate suitable connection points for demand and generation.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations, engineering specifications, and business financial targets.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service, ensuring a positive experience throughout the connection process.

You have

  • A strong commitment to safety, ensuring safety values are at the forefront of all work activities and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Strong working knowledge of both low and high voltage distribution and power systems networks, with the ability to produce designs that prioritise safety.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications, confidence in learning new IT systems, and possession of a valid UK driving licence.
  • The ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills to maintain a high customer satisfaction feedback score.
