Base Location: Base Location: Perth. You will be required to spend a minimum of 2-3 days per week onsite in Dundee, with additional site attendance required during key project phases.

Salary: £36,200 - £54,400 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join SSEN Transmission's Capital Delivery team, supporting the delivery of projects within the  TKUP ASTI scheme, part of our Pathway to 2030 programme. The project team is based in the Dundee/Tayside area and is playing a key role in delivering critical electricity infrastructure to support the transition to a cleaner energy future.

You will

  • Support the successful delivery of major transmission infrastructure projects, helping to ensure activities are completed safely, on time and within budget.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, contractors and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities and monitor progress against key milestones and deliverables.
  • Manage assigned work packages, supporting cost forecasting, reporting and project controls to maximise project value and efficiency.
  • Contribute to procurement and contract management activities, including tender preparation, evaluation and contractor performance management.
  • Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

You have

  • Experience working within a project delivery environment, ideally within construction, engineering, utilities or other infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes to agreed timescales.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to build effective working relationships across project teams.
  • An understanding of health and safety requirements within project environments, including awareness of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, demonstrating problem-solving skills, enthusiasm and a willingness to develop a career in project management.

Please note, a full current driving licence is essential due to the requirement to travel to and be on site.
