Salary: £37,075 - £43,063 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

As an Asset Information and System Data Specialist, you’ll provide technical knowledge to support the operation and continuous improvement of our asset management systems. You’ll help ensure SSEN has accurate, consistent and timely asset management data, with a particular focus on IBM Maximo as our enterprise asset management system.

You will

  • Support the construction of planned maintenance within IBM Maximo and contribute to the ongoing development of the asset register.
  • Carry out data entry, manipulation, mapping and validation to ensure asset information is accurate and aligned to SSEN specifications.
  • Prepare deliverable load files and maintain data quality and integrity throughout projects and operational activity.
  • Work with project teams to ensure key milestones are delivered on time and to the agreed quality standards.
  • Monitor vendor and supplier data deliverables, providing effective reporting and insight on performance indicators and emerging trends.

You have

  • Experience in a similar asset information, system data or asset management systems role, with strong operational knowledge of IBM Maximo.
  • Experience of ETL activity, including extracting, transforming and loading data within IBM Maximo and from other systems.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex engineering and optimisation options arising from data use.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • An appreciation of working in a regulated environment, recognising the importance of accurate data within a tightly governed framework.
