Here's some of the many initiatives that the Armed Forces belonging community have been driving forward in the last year.
Our community is leading on the planning and implementation of the activities and processes required for SSE to achievthe the the gold standard Armed Covenant award.
We're actively promoting roles on specific forces groups on social media.
We're working with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) to find new ways that we can educate service leavers on the the different careers available within SSE, including looking at short-term work experience.
Rachael Green began her Royal Navy career as a electrical engineering apprentice and was one of very few females in her role.
She became a Weapons Engineer and, over her 14 year Navy career, she had the opportunity to travel, learn new skills and work with some great teams.
Rachael is now a Offshore Commissioning Engineer with SSE, working on the Dogger Bank Project.
