Energy markets

Energy Markets is the energy market's heart of the SSE Group, trading commodities and securing value for SSE's asset portfolios in wholesale energy markets. Energy Markets ensure we have the energy supplies required to meet the needs of customers; procuring fuel for our generation plants and selling the power from our wind farms, hydro and low-carbon thermal assets

Energy Markets operates in demanding and ever-changing markets, where no two days are the same. We’re constantly looking for ways to drive innovation across our team and are investing in our people and systems.

We have bold plans for the future and need more talented and skilled people to help SSE power change. If you have a trading and/or commercial background, an inquisitive mind and critical thinking as second nature, we’d love to hear from you.

From Energy Trader to Meteorologist, Risk Manger to Market Analyst, whatever your role in Energy Markets, you’ll be playing your part in the fight against climate change and helping us on our journey to net zero.
