This is a leadership position with business P&L responsibility, running an established major projects delivery team in London and the southeast; having oversight of major projects programme management nationwide; and the opportunity for business and personal growth.
As a Smart Buildings Business Manager, you will play a critical role in driving our expansion efforts and identifying new fostering strategic partnerships.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you’ll be responsible for the development and execution of the Major Projects business plan, including financial performance and all aspects of operational delivery.
You Will
Lead an engineering team working with you to achieve planned objectives and budgets focused on both business and customer needs.
Work alongside the sales department via the Major Projects Sales Director to grow market share within the new build construction market in and around London and South East England; and you’ll be a key member of the Business Management Team contributing to company strategy development.
Manage budget responsibility and forge strong relationships which will ensure commercial and financial compliance; confident the business unit objectives you set are clear and engaging at all levels you’ll regularly monitor and make improvements to maximise efficiencies.

You Have
Leadership skills, this is paramount to your success as it’s essential that your stakeholders, up to and including the Senior Management team, are fully supportive of your operational objectives, plans and achievements and that a collaborative approach to meeting business challenges is established.
Solid operational background working at a Senior Management level and as such will have experience, leading projects and support engineering teams within the construction industry, preferably within the BEMS Sector.
Strong commercial acumen and be comfortable presenting findings through accurate forecasting and reporting. You should be an inspiration to others, setting out clear direction, developing innovative plans and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Performance Management reviews will be required with your direct reports to ensure objectives are clearly set, skill gaps identified and development plans set and reviewed.
As you’ll be traveling to different sites its essential that you hold a full driving licence.
