Base Location: Glasgow
Salary: £58,100 - £87,100 (subject to experience) + car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role
We are looking for a Senior Contract Manager to join the Procurement and Commercial team on one of our established offshore wind farms, where you will work closely with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the continued performance of the assets. The role will involve creating and managing an annual budget, managing long term service and maintenance contracts as well as procuring all necessary goods and services in line with programme requirements including all necessary post-contract administration. The role is based out of the Glasgow office with expected travel to the operations and maintenance base as required, typically once every 2 or 3 months.
You will
- Lead/Manage the procurement of essential work scopes, procuring at lowest cost of ownership and in accordance with the principle of efficiency and best value. This includes covering all commercial, business and legal project risks in contracts and negotiating terms and conditions within own area of responsibility to ensure ongoing value for money throughout the lifetime of the contract.
- Manage all post contract commercial matters including negotiating/agreeing compensation events and ensuring that the core principles of the Commercial Manual are being implemented.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures, promote safety and safe working practices both internally and externally to improve safety performance.
- Understand and support the development of relationships with main suppliers/contractors and liaise with points of contact on project(s) / contract(s).
- Deliver all project(s)/contract(s) within own area of responsibility and approved budget authorisations.
You have
- An understanding of offshore wind markets, asset management support contracts, commodities and services the business require and support the development of project business cases during the early stages of the projects that identify the optimum operational and commercial contracts models and procurement strategies to ensure delivery of production and delivery targets across the offshore assets meeting and exceeding warranted availability for the asset.
- A Quantity Surveying Degree / Procurement qualification or equivalent direct entry to recognised appropriate professional body preferred.
- Experience in a similar role where you were responsible for procuring and managing contracts, managing suppliers and sub-contractors, and supplier vetting, development and management plus a working knowledge of relevant conditions of contract (NEC/Logic).
- Experience of drafting and interpreting commercial contracts plus cost and budget management.
- Demonstrable stakeholder engagement and management.
