The role
This is a critical role leading the procurement and commercial team within a large IT change programme in SSE's Distribution business. The role holder will lead a team of procurement and commercial professionals, managing a complex supplier ecosystem, to ensure the programme delivers on time and to budget. The role holder will also support the development of a procurement strategy for ED3.
You will
Put in place procurement and commercial contracting strategies and governance to manage the supplier ecosystem
Demonstrate we are receiving value for money from the supply chain
Lead the commercial engagement with key supply chain partners
You have
Have lead the procurement activity within a large IT change programme
Are a self starter, well organised and think several steps ahead
Can deploy optimum contracting approaches based on requirements and where there are multiple dependencies
Lead SRM engagements and implement supplier scorecards
Can develop procurement strategies
