Local Stores Analyst

Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations :Thatcham or Glasgow

Salary: £36,139 - £43,188 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The Role

As a Local Stores Analyst, you'll use data and insight to optimise inventory across our Local Stores network, ensuring stock is available where and when it's needed. Working with customers, operational teams and contractors, you'll analyse trends, improve forecasting, solve inventory challenges and identify opportunities to enhance processes and reporting.

Through depot visits and stakeholder engagement, you'll support continuous improvement initiatives that improve stock accuracy, availability and efficiency. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring fresh ideas, challenge existing ways of working and make a measurable impact on inventory performance and operational delivery across the business.

You will

Optimise inventory through effective replenishment and stock planning.

Resolve stock and process issues through root cause analysis and corrective action.

Support operational delivery through inventory management and stakeholder collaboration.

Improve stock availability by proactively managing supply constraints and risks.

Optimise stock distribution across regions to support uninterrupted operations.

Drive and implement improvements to processes, reporting and performance.

Support Local Stores and wider Supply Chain improvement initiatives.

You will have

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends and translate insight into practical solutions. You will be self-motivated and confident taking ownership of challenges, managing priorities and driving issues through to resolution.

You will bring a continuous improvement mindset, with the confidence to challenge existing processes, influence stakeholders and drive positive change through data-led recommendations and innovative thinking.

Strong stakeholder engagement skills are essential, with the ability to understand requirements, build effective relationships and work collaboratively to deliver solutions that add value to the business.

You'll have proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel and Power BI, with advanced Microsoft Office skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.

A qualification or accreditation in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics or a related discipline would be advantageous, but is not essential.
