The role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst/Developer with a strong background in business and data analytics.
This role is pivotal in shaping and building data-driven products that align with strategic business goals and deliver measurable value for SSEN Distribution.
You will
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to define requirements, perform data analysis, and build scalable, value-driven data products.
Champion data-driven decision-making and continuous product optimisation to enhance business impact.
Design and develop advanced Power BI reports with custom visuals, dynamic layouts, and robust data security features.
Ensure rigorous testing of all products, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, with full technical documentation.
Engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels, providing training, support, and participating actively in Agile ceremonies.
You have
Proven experience delivering scalable data products that drive measurable business value — from concept through to deployment and ongoing optimisation.
Expert-level Power BI skills essential, including dynamic reporting, custom visuals, performance tuning, and data security (e.g. RLS); other reporting tools a bonus.
Strong background in data analytics, modelling, and pipeline development, with hands-on proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud platforms (Azure, Databricks, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable insights, user stories, and high-impact reporting solutions.
Must thrive in Agile environments, with a track record of unit testing, UAT, and technical documentation — this is a senior role requiring delivery maturity and stakeholder confidence.
