The role
You will be a pivotal figure in the Procurement & Commercial department supporting the Asset Management (operations) business unit based in Spain, undertaking a strategic role to enhance operational excellence and cost-effectiveness across all contracts and sourcing activities. Join our team to lead and mentor, while driving improvements that matter.
You will
- Lead and mentor a team, providing both direction and inspiration.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with primary suppliers and contractors.
- Collaborate with various managers to optimize commercial and procurement strategies, demonstrating a cost-effective approach.
- Post-contract commercial management including contract management, claims management and management of key supplier relationships.
- Ensure rigorous adherence to safety standards and procedures across all operations.
- Render comprehensive commercial support and ensure compliance with SSE’s stringent procurement and commercial policies.
You have
- Proven ability to maintain comprehensive contractual records and perform compliance audits effectively.
- Experience in managing short and medium to long-term objectives within a dynamic environment.
- Strong negotiation skills particularly noticeable in managing complex international contracts.
- Demonstrated capability in contract management, underpinning the broader strategic objectives of a large organization.
- Robust professional skills including data interpretation, contract drafting, and strategic planning.
