The role
As Financial Controller, you will play a vital role in SSE's vision of becoming a leading energy company in a net-zero world. You'll lead comprehensive analysis of financial performance, oversee reporting, budgeting, and the capital expenditure process, ensuring reliable financial insights drive our investments.
You will
Proactively monitor and evaluate investment, post-investment, revenue, cost structure, and asset management
Collaborate within departments to collect business data and provide financial insights.
Develop and implement procedures and financial controls to safeguard company assets.
Prepare and manage submissions and reports for month-end work, business reviews, and maintain consistency
Efficiently coordinate capital expenditure process including CAPEX allocation, PO workflow, and manage audits.
You have
To thrive in this role, you'll need the following qualifications and experiences: • Fully qualified in finance or accounting.
Fully qualified in finance or accounting.
Proven experience as Financial Controller or in a similar role, with strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations ideally within Renewables or Power Generation market.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to influence senior stakeholders.
Proficient in management accounting, Excel and financial software.(former Navision, current Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central).
Demonstrated ability to seek improvements in finance performance and processes, with willingness to learn and develop.
Fluent English.
