Base Location: Keady Power Station, Scunthorpe
Salary: £50,100 - £75,100 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role
As E C&I Day Maintenance Engineer, you'll report into the Asset Maintenance Engineer and be accountable for providing organisational, administrative, technical and supervisory support of the Maintenance Department at Keadby Power Station. You’ll also ensure the delivery of all activities are compliant with SSE's, Keadby's, and departmental production/ engineering standards and goals.
You will
- Support the organisation and delivery of day-to-day preventative and reactive maintenance of station equipment, including sourcing spares, planning of resource, budget and contractor management
- Supervise a team of Maintenance Technicians and Apprentices
- Manage short term unbudgeted outages inclusive of programme development and resource planning
- Develop and delivery of minor projects
- Promote a 'one team' approach within the Power Station, forming cooperative relationships with other team leads, while responding to the needs of customer departments
You preferably have
- Degree level or equivalent qualification in an appropriate discipline, supported by previous experience of large industrial engineering or maintenance in an Engineering role
- Competence in the use of digital works management and procurement processes
- Thorough understanding of a Safe System of Work
- Excellent leadership skills and have experience successfully supervising people
- A NEBOSH General Certificate
