Across the two years, you will spend six months at a time in different energy businesses. There is a huge range of placements available that will challenge and inspire you along with excellent support every step of the way. Expect exposure to senior leaders and plenty of networking and training opportunities too.
By the end of the two years, you will gain an invaluable appreciation of the commercial relationship between our businesses and how they work together to deliver NZAP+.
Your Programme Manager will identify placements one and two, aligning your interests with business requirements. You'll take part in an extensive training programme including courses unique to this programme in Energy Markets and Finance & Strategy. You'll be supported every step of the way with a placement manager, a buddy, a programme mentor and a business mentor, all on hand to help you reach your potential.
As you complete placements three and four, we will turn our attention to preparing you for your role at the end of the programme. Your training and development will continue, building on what you have learned in year one. There will be plenty of opportunities to engage with your fellow graduates as well as senior leaders in the business. Your placement manager, buddy, programme mentor and business mentor will continue to support with your learning and development.
Our graduates have gone into a wide variety of exciting and significant roles including Strategy Analyst, Assistant Project Manager, Commercial Analyst, Partnerships & Acquisitions Analyst, Asset Manager as well as other roles across all five Energy Businesses.
To meet our net zero goals, SSE needs fresh ideas, diverse mindsets, innovation and people who will challenge the status quo. This is where graduates can add real value and help move the Energy Businesses forward. Through your placements and projects, your contributions will help us reach our net zero ambitions and deliver NZAP+. All while securing yourself an exciting role in the future of energy.
