About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Technical Analysis team, to lead the delivery of meteorological measurement campaigns and wind turbine power performance assessments for SSER's global portfolio of onshore and offshore wind farms – from the early stages of development through to construction and into operation.

In this role, you will project manage offshore measurement campaigns and power performance assessment programs, and provide practical support to onshore and offshore measurement deployments.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Project managing wind and metocean measurement campaigns from concept to delivery.
  • Responsibility for the deployment of LiDAR, wave buoy and other measurement devices offshore, internally or by contractors, including setup and commissioning of devices.
  • Leading the delivery of wind turbine power performance assessments, working with project teams to agree strategies, procure and deploy LiDARs, analyse data and share the results back into the business.
  • Delivering measurement data for energy yield modelling, site conditions assessments, project design, and operational analysis.
  • Collaborating on work across multiple projects, liaising with key stakeholders, contractors, and the wider TA team.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, we would love you to have:

  • Demonstrable experience managing wind or metocean measurement campaigns.
  • Experience in the physical deployment, commissioning, setup and troubleshooting of LiDAR systems.
  • A background encompassing power performance assessment campaigns, data analysis, wind resource assessment and reporting.
  • A track record and understanding in delivering projects safely and working with contractors to ensure high HSE standards.
  • Ability to access an offshore wind turbine and work in what can sometimes be harsh outdoor weather conditions.

While your location in this role can be flexible within the UK, regular travel to our main Glasgow office will be required, with occasional international travel and visits to onshore and offshore sites.
