What is the Role?

The Measurements and Power Performance Team deliver meteorological measurement campaigns for SSE Renewables international portfolio of onshore and offshore wind farms - from the early stages of development through to construction - and power performance assessments of operational wind turbines.

The growing responsibilities of the team include Marine Logistics modelling for wind farm operations and maintenance. As Wind and Marine Logistics Analyst, you'll play a key role in developing and delivering this capability, alongside wind and turbine data analysis to deliver power performance assessments.

As part of the wider Technical Analysis team, this opportunity will also allow you to gain significant exposure to energy yield and noise modelling, site conditions assessment, project design, and operational analysis.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, we would love you to have:

- A degree level qualification in a physical science, engineering or other highly numerate field.

- Demonstrable experience in wind analysis and resource assessment for wind farm projects.

Also desirable are:

- A background encompassing power curve testing campaigns and Lidar data processing, including experience with scanning and nacelle-mounted Lidar.

- Knowledge and usage of marine logistics modelling software.

- An understanding of CFD wind flow modelling, in particular with Ansys WindModeller.

- Coding skills, particularly in Matlab and

While the location of this role is flexible within the UK, regular travel to SSER's Glasgow office and to wind farm sites will be required, occasionally abroad.
