Location: South Buckinghamshire, Slough, NE Berkshire.

Salary: £28,831 – 33,019 depending on skills and experience plus company van.

Permanent | Full Time Hours | 37 hours per week

SSEN are currently looking for a Utility Arboriculture Surveyor to join our Southern Electric Power Distribution team.  As a Utility Arboriculture Surveyor you will be responsible for surveying the overhead power line network, identifying vegetation encroachments and designing tree cutting solutions that remove the vegetation safely, effectively and in line with company procedures. This will include ENATS 43-08 maintenance, ETR132 cutting and general enquiries.

This is a key role for our team and provides us with a direct link to our customers and provide a work bank to the contractors that work for us. Currently there are 7 main contractors supplying over 200 staff who work around our overhead network. Due to the size of the team, the successful applicant will also support and work alongside the Quality and Safety inspectors (QSI) and where required will support in carrying out and recording quality and safety checks/audits.

Your Skills and Experience

The following skills will help you to be successful in this role however, some training can be provided for the right candidates:

  • Arboriculture / Utility Arboriculture qualifications including UA5 as a minimum.
  • Well organised with the ability to assess, plan and adapt.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and be able to suggest and implement improvements.
  • Good IT skills.
