Salary: £26,120 - £34,000 + {performance-related bonus} + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

What is the Role?

Neos Networks are seeking a full-time Sites Maintenance Operative to be part of the sites team within Neos Networks, covering the whole of the UK.

You will be required to attend each of the designated Neos Networks locations on pre-determined dates in its extensive estate located throughout the whole of the UK and undertake planned maintenance tasks at each location, as well as supervising other contractors carrying out a variety of different maintenance tasks.

As this position is UK wide, it will mean that there will be there will be a significant amount of travel required on a regular basis and some weeks when you will be expected to stay away from home.

A company van will be provided, and the holding of a full UK drivers licence is essential. 

Within the role, you will be expected to maintain a high level of general building housekeeping both internally and externally, including minor repairs, as well as gathering information from various systems within the buildings (including meter reading, system monitoring and resetting) and the supervision and auditing of various 3rd party maintenance providers to ensure their work is completed both safely and on time.

What do I need?

The successful candidate will have an excellent all round working knowledge of site maintenance processes and systems.

Holding qualifications in the use of grounds maintenance machinery would be an advantage, as would a background in the electrical/telecommunications industries.

You will have an excellent team ethic while also being organised, self-reliant and resourceful with good communication skills, allowing you to build a rapport with contractors and our own staff at all levels throughout the business. As a self-driven individual, you will have the ability to work well to time scales and under pressure and have the confidence and skill to lead others.

An excellent understanding of construction industry Health and safety is essential for this role, and You will be required to undertake various audit types at both our sites and third-party locations, as well as safety audits of contractors and company staff.

Computer skills are an important tool within our industry, so a good working knowledge of Microsoft office software is required (Training will be given on specialist software as required).  

If you have experience of Sub Station environments/training and/or Electrical qualifications this would be advantageous but not essential.

 

Training will be provided for any specialist requirements not already held by the successful applicant.
