What is the role?
The SSE EV team is currently expanding our portfolio of services and solutions by moving into the fleet and bus space. We are targeting rapid growth in this part of the business and beginning a UK wide delivery programme.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the Commercial Modeller will actively lead the commercial modelling workstream to support sales, marketing and the bidding for new work typically up to 100 million capital cost. You’ll create and own the complex financial and commercial models to identify competitive advantage opportunities, deliver value engineering and ultimately ensure bids are competitive, our investments are cognisant of the risks and opportunities as well as assessing the impact on the business's short and long-term earnings forecasts.
You’ll work alongside the Asset, Engineering, Commercial and Finance teams to ensure all income and costs associated with our propositions and future investments are correctly identified. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for creating, developing and running investment models accurately and working with the EV Team to prepare bid documents and commercial agreements, and Corporate Finance to ensure the investment models are approved. You’ll also work with the other sectors ensuring we create multi sector propositions and create a suite of “Whole System Thinking” localized energy offerings we have agility and flexibility in our model to adapt and maximize our ability to win these types of opportunities.
