Base Location: Havant
Salary: £28,300 to £42,500 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

The role
Group Security and Investigation staff provide an integral part of protecting SSE assets. A service engineer’s primary role will be to assist the Engineering team in the southern counties to carry out planned maintenance, Ad hoc work and reactive service calls predominately in the southern area of the UK.
This is a service engineer role and the job role requires working core operational hours from 8AM to 5PM. Additionally there are occasions to work outside normal working hours.
You will
- To carry out security system maintenances and reactive tasks at SSE sites in the allocated operational area.
- To assist Area Manager’s with smaller security installation projects and provide support when otherwise directed.
- To identify minor / major security system faults and support any upgrade projects where necessary.
- Assist other members of the engineering team with technical issues and larger faults or as directed.
- Stand by engineering duties are required in the southern region. Candidate must be willing to support stand by arrangements.
You have
- Excellent organisational aptitude and the desire to drive efficiency. You will be expected to be flexible as the role will demand multi-tasking.
- The proficiency to evaluate a situation under pressure utilising your expertise, judgement skills and dynamic decision making.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft and Security system configuration applications.
- A good level of knowledge on all aspects of security systems including CCTV and Access control. Competent in the maintenance and installation of electronic security systems.
- Highly motivated and flexible to travel as and when required with the ability work away from home when operational requirements demand and hold a valid UK Driving license
