About the Department

As a Scheduler you're responsible for optimising a six week plan to achieve a utilisation target of 90% or above; you will schedule work on Skedulo ensuring that priorities are dealt with, and work is delivered to meet programme and customer requirements. 

- You will be responsible for a variety of administrative assistance including the administration of a variety of paperwork and reports for the business to ensure that it can run effectively and efficiently.

- Continually improve efficiency by focusing on reducing cost, travel time, repeat visits and changes to the programme, escalating any utilisation gaps to ensure resources are fully employed. Support and embed a process of highlighting anomalies and taking appropriate action to ensure that they are dealt with and improving efficiencies on administrative functions performed for the region.

- Deliver a customer-led productivity and performance culture for all staff within the coordination centre by planning and scheduling the teams in an efficient and effective manner so that the Region can achieve our business targets.

- Organise work in a safe way to reduce travel time with the aim of optimising the four-week plan to achieve the utilisation target of >90%.

- Operate within a team, attending daily huddles to feedback progress and improvement opportunities, raising concerns and seeking validation for any queries. Support the Scheduling Manager in developing and coaching new members of staff in the team.

- Respond to emergency events including severe weather as required supporting team members to be available to respond as appropriate to their role and as defined by their contract.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Previous experience of planning and scheduling work with strong IT skills to effectively analyse performance data and use scheduling programmes.

- Excellent organisational skills and you are able to embrace change and also have great attention to detail.

- Someone who seeks opportunity for improvement.

- Be able to work effectively within a small team ensuring all tasks required to be completed are done in a timely manner.
